As a West Michigan artist, it’s always exciting when I can pack up my prints (even the Black-footed ferret joined along in the journey), jump on the road, and spend time connecting and sharing my passion for animals with other wildlife enthusiasts.

So there I was, just as July was wrapping up… off to Pentwater, Michigan for the Downtown Gallery Stroll on a sunny Friday as the featured artist at Jilly’s Gallery!

For the past few years, I’ve been focusing in my art studio, dotting, and learning about the various endangered species as I work on each piece. It was so exciting to share my journey so far with everyone who stopped by. I love talking with other animal enthusiasts, you all are amazing and I truly enjoyed connecting with you! The air was full of positivity, support, and excitement – I couldn’t have asked for a better experience! Thanks to you all we were able to raise over $200 for organizations around the world that are helping each of these endangered animals!

Pentwater Gallery Stroll set for Friday
John Cavanagh | Oceana’s Herald-Journal

“Jilly’s Gallery is excited to host Malinda Rene, a West Michigan artist who focuses on pointillism art prints for conservation Friday, July 29 as part of Pentwater’s Gallery Stroll.

Malinda focuses on drawing endangered species with the detailed process of pointillism, creating each drawing one dot at a time. Her passion and curiosity started at an early age and has continued as she learns more about the behaviors and habitats of species around the world. With every drawing, Malinda Rene highlights the beauty, humor and abilities of wildlife, with the goal to inspire others to spread happiness, venture outdoors, and help protect endangered species along the way. With your help, 50 percent of every purchase will go towards organizations helping endangered species.”
